The EnviroMetrics RKI Eagle 2 has a dual-sensor configuration utilizing a catalytic sensor and a photo-ionization detector (PID). This method of gas detection allows you to field screen samples for a high range of petroleum hydrocarbons and solvents.
The PID responds to total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) commonly found in F1 & F2 PHCs fractions, and most solvents.
Commonly used applications include:
- Drilling & Test Pitting Programs
- Remedial Excavations
- Subsurface Investigations
- Excess Soils Investigations
- Monitoring Well Head Space Readings
- Tank Decommissioning
Sensor Range:
- PID sensor = 0 to 2,000 ppm
- Catalytic sensor = 0 to 50,000 ppm (0-100% LEL)
Dual-sensor RKI Eagle 2 is calibated using:
- PID sensor - Isobutylene gas (100 ppm)
- Catalytic sensor - Hexane gas (1640 ppm)
The EnviroMetrics RKI Eagle 2 can be preconfigured in a methane elimination mode, should clients wish to remove the potential interference of methane gas from field screening measurements.
